Sometimes the ugly eyesore in the event space can become the party FAVORite.   In this case, an empty shelving unit became an interactive Beauty Bar at a hip baby shower.

We can’t thank Hostess with the Mostess enough for featuring our urban baby shower earlier in the season (check it out when you can at http://bit.ly/9izvsB and http://bit.ly/c1ipeO ).  But we JUST had to share the incredibly fun favors that were offered at the same shower in the form of an interactive Beauty Bar.  Guests were invited to pack their own beauty-bag-to-go with nailpolishes, shower gels, makeup kits, travel candles, nail files, lip glosses, eau de perfums, body lotions, bubble baths, moisturizers, sun tan lotions, body sponges and flip flops.

Oh but the pampering didn’t stop at the Beauty Bar, these lucky ladies were encouraged to enjoy manicures, hand and arm massages and tarot card readings at the many tables located around the room.  Later came the lapdance lessons, but that’s another post for a different day… (needless to say, it was a pretty cool shower for one hot mama).

  1. Scott, it was such a fun event to work with you on! Thank you again for the opportunity! and the baby is adorable!

  2. Amy, we can honestly say, the whole Beauty Bar concept shown here has successfully worked for bat mitzvahs, bridal and baby showers! Ladies love it! The mini beauty products shown here were found mostly at discount stores, like Dollar stores, as well as at Target and beauty suppliers (Sephora). A few items were found online using http://www.lightinthebox.com and others similar… sometimes buying the whole kit of samples and breaking it up works well. Have fun finding and creating your own Beauty Bar!
