Although Juliet and Grant envisioned a formal setting for their May wedding at the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia, above all they wanted to ensure that their guests had a memorable evening. Their inspiration? Disco balls and Champagne. “I wanted a classic look, but a party feel,” Juliet says. “I wanted guests to remember how much fun they had.”

Blue and Purple Palette, Courtyard Ceremony, Candlelit Reception

The Scene: The wedding ceremony was held outdoors in the courtyard of Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia, followed by a candlelit reception in the ballroom. For décor, the couple chose a vibrant colour palette of blues and purples. Banquet tables were set with purple centrepieces of varying heights, shimmering tablecloths and cobalt blue stemware. A live band helped achieve the fun atmosphere Juliet and Grant had envisioned. “They made our reception,” says the bride. “We requested very few slow songs, and the band director added a rock and roll element so no one wanted to sit down. Everyone was dancing the whole time!”

Magical Moment: For Juliet and Grant, no single element of their wedding day was more memorable than the others. But seeing each other as Juliet walked down the aisle, with the sun setting, was one of two that stand out. For the second, she says, “We entered the reception to Ozzy Osbourne’s ‘Crazy Train,’ and the energy and excitement as we ran into the room was incredible.”

The Bride & Groom: Juliet chose a fitted lace Rivini wedding gown with an open back, which she paired with Manolo Blahnik pumps. The groom wore a custom black tuxedo designed by Peter Oliver.

A Personal Touch: For her “something borrowed,” Juliet wore her sister’s pearl-drop earrings. “I also wore a pearl bracelet that was a gift my dad gave my mom on their first Valentine’s Day,” she says.
