Sometimes, it’s the intimate family gatherings that resonate the most.  Like this sweet luncheon we did today for Kara at The Rittenhouse in honor of her graduation from the University of Pennsylvania.   All 15 guests were seated at a long feast table dressed in turquoise linens to the floor.  Our turquoise ceramic vessels were filled with a lush mix of lavender, purple and plum flowers such as hydrangea, tulips, lilac, allium, peonies, calla lilies, lisianthus, irises and delphinium.   The incredible dinner plate-sized lavender hydrangea was the rock star of the day!

Matching turquoise napkins were gathered in colored glass butterfly napkin rings and placed on silver chargers with creamy ivory menus.  Ice Chivari Chairs with Turquoise Bengaline cushions were placed at the 16-foot long feast table set facing the Courtyard in the Cassatt Lounge.

No celebration is complete without a cake!  This two-tiered pale aqua blue cake had its own visit from a butterfly!
